Free flow tolling or multi-lane free flow tolling (MLFF) is also known as open road tolling (ORT). It collects tolls on toll roads without toll booths. Nowadays, governments and road operators worldwide have increasing interests in transitioning plaza tolling to free-flow tolling. One major advantage is that it significantly eases traffic congestion compared to plaza tolling, because drivers are able to pass through the tolling points directly at high speed without having to slow down. But the implementation of free flow tolling will require a sound enforcement system and social credit system to deal with possible "toll leakage".
Currently, in China, there are over 24,000 gantries for free-flow tolling. As the major ETC player and Chinese ETC standard drafter, Genvict has rich experience in ETC system construction, and is capable of providing:
the toll can be calculated by distance traveled, time spent, vehicle class, and other parameters requested;
dedicated short-range communication (DSRC), radio frequency identification (RFID), automatic number plate recognition (ANPR);
not limited to tolling system (ranging from front-end system to back-office management), we also offer communication system, monitoring system, tunnel management for highway traffic management;
full service from design, implementation, training, operation to maintenance.
